Gaza Hospital, Beirut, Lebanon. In what is known as the Sabra and Chatila massacre in Beirut in 1982, the Falangist Christian-Maronite militias, supported by the Israeli army, barbarously killed about 4000 Palestinian civilians in the Chatila refugee camp. During the massacre, all Palestinian doctors and paramedics who worked in nearby Gaza Hospital were also eliminated. Today these dilapidated buildings house the last of the last, Palestinians but also Lebanese who cannot afford a home even inside a refugee camp.

In quello che è noto come il massacro di Sabra e Chatila, nel 1982 a Beirut, le milizie cristiano-maronite falangiste, supportate dall’esercito israeliano, uccisero barbaramente circa 4000 civili palestinesi nel campo profughi di Chatila. Nel corso dell’eccidio furono eliminati anche tutti i medici e paramedici palestinesi che lavoravano nel vicino Gaza Hospital. Oggi questi palazzoni fatiscenti ospitano gli ultimi degli ultimi, palestinesi ma anche libanesi che non possono permettersi una casa neppure al’interno di un campo di rifugiati.
